 |  | | Automatic Carrier Applicator- "The Quick Packer"
In a search of consolidating its presence in the industrial markets that could benefit from its vertical integration, experience and specialization FAMA has developed the Automatic Carrier Applicator that we have called “Quick Packer”.
This is an automatic machine that inserts carriers at a maximum speed of 40 boxes per minute, depending on the bottle and carrier type that can be required. It also offers a series of special functions that facilitate its operation. Next we give more details of these special functions:
The machine applies carriers for both glass and plastic bottles of different capacities and is designed to apply the carriers for four-packs and /or six-packs containers, with 10, 12 or 16 ounces and 600 ml bottles. To configure the “Quick Packer” for these several combinations is achieved by only changing the applying plate and adjusting heights in the applicator and in the feeder. These heights are already marked in order to make more effective and efficient the changing procedure.
The “Quick Packer” is prepared to form 24 bottles packages combination in the following manner: 6 Packages of 4 bottles 4 Packages of 6 bottles 3 Packages of 8 bottles
Due to the variety of bottles that the “Quick Packer” could handle, it comes with a kit option that contains the components required to operate with the different bottles sizes and combinations, so the customer only requires to make small changes and adjustments to the equipment.
The “Quick Packer”, can also operate like a standard transport section, due to the fact that the carrier feeding system and the application system are controlled in an independent way. So you only need to turn off the carrier feeding and application systems and the equipment will operate as any transport section.
One of the advantages of the “Quick Packer” is that it has an electronic control that allows you to reach very high speeds at the same time that it minimizes the operator direct supervision required and makes its maintenance more effective. This is achieved due to the fact that the systems operate in an independent manner, which allows the operator to isolate the problems and resolve them in a quick and efficient manner.
Within the control panel it has an inverter and a potentiometer that allow us to vary the cycles in order to increase or decrease the operating speed according the customer requirements. Also it has a Timer that control the cycle time for the application cylinder.
The pneumatic system with of the “Quick Packer” has electro-valves, the majority of which are controlled by photo-electronic sensors that make the operation more efficient and faster.
The supplies required from the customer for this equipment to operate are:
Electricity: 220 (volts), 60 cycles, 3 phases. Air: 4 to 6 (kg/cm)
