One example of this is the Wildlife Organization, A.C. (OVIS), a non profit organization that supports the conservation of nature, protection of wild species and the development of research projects focused on ecology and its conservation.
Through OVIS we have implemented permanent conservation programs for plant and animal conservation In four nature reserves in México, located in Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Sonora, y Baja California Sur.
Principal achievements of OVIS in 2008

A population increase in the wild Ovis canadensis weemsi sheep population by maintaining 20 percent of the world population of this subspecies.

The start up of a reproduction program in semi-captivity for the cimarrón Ovis canadensis Mexicana sheep population in Sonora, as their populations in the wild state have diminished in this northern state.

The birth of a litter of wolves comprised of three males and three females with good chances of successfully beingreturned to the wild.

The release of three black bears into the wild in Nuevo León.

Beginning an association with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for the purpose of promoting the use, conservation and restoration of native communities of wildflowers and native plants while showing the benefits of the program.

A collaboration agreement with Cemex to restore the wildlife populations with particular emphasis on the restoration of wild sheep in Sonora, Mexico.

“Naturally Vitro” a campaign that consisted of planting more than five thousand seedlings by Vitro personnel in México, the USA, Guatemala, Colombia and Spain, as a way to improve the air quality.
