  | | | Pyrolitic Glass
Pyrosol glass, with its reflective coating, can also be subject to different processes without suffering alterations in its properties. The Pyrosol is manufactured in the float-glass line, produced by chemical vapor deposits, on the glass surface, on a high temperature process building a highly durable silver colored reflective coat.

Pyrosol´s heat reflective property is in the range of 54%, and while it allows 40% of the daylight pass through, it eliminates 80% of UV rays, which severely harms colors and textures.
Uses and applications
Pyrosol glass panes are ideal for facades or complete buildings, where a maximum view of the exterior and highly lighted interiors are required, without incurring in expensive air conditioning equipment and its costly power and maintenance demands.
Technical progresses of today have allowed the making of safe ordinary glass, such as LAMINATED and TEMPERED glass, and can be made thermally insulated, like the DUOVENT Units.
Since one of Pyrosol´s characteristics is that it absorbs heat that is later dissipated by convection or reradiation, it is important to bear in mind that under certain conditions thermal fracture may occur . In such cases, and after making the proper calculations, the use of fully tempered or heat strength glass might be specified, in order to eliminate the risk.
