  | | | Glass bottles can be made in a wide variety of colors.
Color is most frequently introduced to the glass using two different processes.
* Coloring the molten glass in the furnace itself. This process is applicable to high-volume production requirements.
* Coloring the glass through the addition of frit colorant in the forehearth area as molten glass exits the furnace and moves toward the bottle forming machine. This process is applicable to lower volume production requirements.
